A 16-year-old boy from Gosport was attacked by teenagers after buying tickets at Fareham train station, The News reported last week.
On Tuesday, October 11, at 5:50 p.m., the boy was walking down the aisle on The Avenue after seeing four young men leaving the station.
He was followed, before being caught and pushed against a wall.
One of the thugs tried to grab his jacket because he was slapped twice in the face, after one of the assailants threatened to stab him.
He managed to escape after a member of the public walked past the group.
The Hampshire Constabulary made several arrests including a 15-year-old boy from Portsmouth and another youth, 13, from Southsea.
Another boy from Portsmouth, 15, was arrested on suspicion of attempted robbery and racial/religious assault which sometimes resulted in bodily injury.
All three have been released under investigation.
More teenagers were linked to the attack, with police still wanting to speak to the individual.
The first is Asian, aged 15 to 16, wearing a black cotton balaclava.
The second was white, 14 to 15 years old, 5 feet 5 inches tall, stocky, light brown hair cut short on top and shaved closer on the sides.
The third was black, aged 16-17, 5 feet 11 inches tall, with a large build and black braided hair that was lighter at the ends.
The fourth was black, aged 16-17, 5 feet 11 inches tall and bulky.
