The newly released List of the Best Global Universities (2022-23), compiled by US News, reveals what it calls Canada's top 37 universities, including the University of Toronto, which is placed at the top of the list.
Following the University of Toronto, the University of British Columbia comes in at Number 2 and McGill University at Number 3.
The universities are ranked and evaluated based on their research performance and their ranking by members of the academic community worldwide and in North America, said US News.

The University of Alberta comes in at Number 4 on the list, followed by McMaster University and l'Universite de Montreal at Numbers 5 and 6, respectively.
The University of Calgary is ranked Number 7 and the University of Waterloo scored Number 8. Completing the top 10 universities in Canada, the University of Ottawa and the University of the West (University of Western Ontario) are in positions nine and 10 respectively.
