Cons

Throughout the years we've used Canva, we've encountered a few issues that disrupted our workflow, were annoying to deal with, or were missing features we'd love to have. Thankfully, Canva has received numerous updates over the years, which have eliminated a number of bugs, but a few disadvantages remain.

1. Customer support could be better

We repeatedly evaluated the customer service and were never completely satisfied. Typically, it takes between one and three business days to receive a reply; if you contact them on Friday, you may have to wait until Tuesday or even longer. 2. Incorrect SVG display field

3. Lacking gradients

The only way gradients can be used in Canva is with vector gradients from the asset library. This is not very useful, however, if the gradient colors do not suit your needs (you cannot change them) or if you need to apply a gradient to a complex object.

Image editing (but not really)

We do not believe that this is a con of Canva's image editor, but we noticed that the majority of other reviews mention it, so we decided to explain why it is not. Canva is not a post-processing application such as Lightroom or Luminar. This means that it cannot handle raw image files or perform advanced edits, but it was never intended to. Since Canva is a platform for graphic design, you are expected to use already edited photos and make only minor adjustments, which Canva can do.
